Yes, a lot of issues–at work or home–might stand as impediments in your way. You may have had to drop your travel plans at the last moment. You may have told the world how much you love to explore but could never muster the courage to ditch pre-commitments for it. For those who have taken up travelling as their profession, the scenario might be different–their idea of work and play mingle with each other. But for the rest, the perpetual procrastinators struggling behind their corporate facades, are you sure those excuses you hurl to defer travel, actually hold true? If you really think so, here’s a piece of information for you.

A certain man has been ruling the nation, OUR nation, for three long years now. And the man of that stature, our Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has travelled way more than you can ever fathom.

Spending sleepless nights over work on one hand, and globetrotting at the same time–you thought only you are busy? You may have been reading a lot about globetrotters around the world, taking inspiration from them to build the choicest of your bucket-lists. How many of you have been able to meet office deadlines and then travel? Let alone managing a nation. And look at Modi ji! Not only has he won elections one after the other but also accomplished the dream of every passionate traveller– exploring the world in 123 days.

The Prime Minister’s voyage has consumed 11 per cent of his total number of days in office.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and other reports, put together by Newsflicks, so far, the Prime Minister has undertaken 28 foreign trips, covering 44 countries, that is, about 23 per cent of the total number. When you were literally bargaining with your boss for those set count of leaves, this man traversed the globe, spending a time frame amounting to more than a month each year, in foreign destinations.

Yes, we know many of his trips involved bilateral dialogue, but, are you sure he did not visit places, eat sumptuous meals, or indulge in any other touristy fancy? Trips amounting to crores of rupees can’t just be spent in conference rooms, can they? So, what are you waiting for? Are you still looking for travel experts to guide you? It’s time to ditch them, people. Bow down to Mr know-it-all, Mr do-it-all. He is your ultimate travel guru.

Disclaimer: Of course we know his trips are paid-for and the itinerary is part of his job. You need not take us too seriously, it’s okay.
