Manali

Enjoy local sightseeing in Manali on this day. Manali, located at an altitude of 6728 feet, is one of the top favorites amongst tourists as it offers wonderful views of the snow-laden mountain peaks all around. Some top attractions in Manali are: Rohtang Pass, Jana Falls, Van Vihar National Park, The Beas Kund, Solang Valley, Jogini Waterfall, The Hadimba Temple, Beas River, Pin Valley National Park, Rahala Falls, etc. Motorcycles are also available for local sight-seeing.

Also apart from visiting the prime attractions, you can indulge in a number of adventure sports in Manali.

Camping at Dundi via Solang Valley

Visit Solang Valley in the morning, a haven for nature lovers, adventure seekers, snow lovers and photographers. Located at a distance of 13 kms from Manali, Solang Valley lies between Solang village and Beas Kund. It offers breathtaking views of glaciers and snow-capped mountains all around, and for snow lovers the best time to visit this valley is between December to February.

A variety of adventure sports are available here. In winters, the valley becomes a skiing paradise with happy tourists slipping and sliding all over the fresh white snow. In the summers, skiing is replaced by paragliding and horse riding, parachuting and zorbing. Packed with thrill and excitement, this destination shall refresh you thoroughly!

The distance from Solang to Dundi is 8 kms. Taxis are available for commutation on this route on permission from the local authorities. At times, the authorities close this route for vehicles, in which case one needs to walk to reach Dundi. The time one can spend in Solang depends on the accessibility of this route.

Options for only regular camping are available in Dundi. Overnight stay at Dundi. Relish the fresh cool breeze and the starry sky in the lap of the Himalayas!

Trekking to Beas Kund

Duration - 4-5 Hours

Trekking to Beas Kund begins from Dundi in the morning.

The trek to Beas Kund is one of the most beautiful short trek in Himachal Pradesh. Beas Kund is a holy lake where Rishi Vyas took his daily bath. River Beas originates from here. As is with all experiences of trekking in Himachal, it is believed that this region has an infamous way of making you fall in love. Embrace the beauties of its gorgeous peaks, endless fascinating lands, genuinely hospitable locals and its cascading waters.

Beas Kund is not just a stand-alone peak but is set against the backdrop of several others such as the Shitidhar Peak, Friendship Peak and others. This trek is suitable for both beginners as well as advanced-level trekkers as the slopes are moderately steep yet offer challenging trails every now and then.
